Dear Students,

due to the measures taken to limit the spread of the coronavirus, the Department of Management/Organization can only be reached by phone and mail until further notice.

With regard to teaching in SS 2020, we are currently planning to supplement the face-to-face courses (if they take place) with virtual courses. The electronic registration for the offered pro and main seminars in the TURM II system will take place at the already announced dates. We are currently examining how the kick-off events scheduled in April can be replaced by virtual offerings. In any case, there will be no face-to-face kick-off events in April 2020.

Regarding examinationswe refer to the announcements of the rectorate and the examination board/examination office. For the examinations of the department this means that no written or oral examinations will be held until further notice. In the next few days there will be an information from the Department Management or the examination board in which special cases will be regulated. The department will examine such special cases in detail and, for the protection of all involved, will only consider exceptions in particularly justified cases.

Accordingly, the exam Corporate Management 4 will not take place!

Rules of procedure for dealing with examinations at the DepartmentWM

Status: 17.03.2020, 11:30 a.m.

"Examinations are in principle cancelled until 04 May 2020.These examination cancellations will be assessed as a reason beyond the student's control with regard to the study progress control. In exceptional cases, the examination can be carried out in agreement between the examiner and the person to be examined; in this case, special attention must be paid to the general rules on infection control." (Resolution of the Rectorate of the TU Ilmenau of 16.03.2020).

On the basis of this resolution it is stipulated:

1. all examinations are cancelled until 04.05.2020. Registered students will be deregistered by the examination office with the reason "certificate"; no independent deregistration by the students to be examined is required. 2.

2. the university as a whole and not the department or the individual examiners will decide on a replacement examination period for the examinations cancelled between 16.03.2020 and 04.05.2020. At the moment and as long as the further course of the pandemic measures cannot be estimated, unfortunately, nothing more can be said about this. 3.

3) All oral examinations, including the defence of theses, have been cancelled until 04.05.2020.

4. in exceptional cases, a candidate may apply for the examination to be brought forward due to undue hardship, if necessary including a change of the examination form (e.g. oral examination instead of written examination). A reasoned application must be submitted to the examination board. The examination board obtains the agreement of the examiner before making a decision. This agreement must also be obtained if the oral examination is not conducted as a face-to-face examination but via video conferencing systems, i.e. if the examiner or the person to be examined does not agree to this form, the examination will not take place."
