The Group of Quality Assurance and Industrial Image Processing was represented at the stand of the Thuringian Ministry of Digital and Infrastructure as part of the WIR! alliance Holz-21-regio on May 3.
The results of the development of multispectral camera systems for forest monitoring were presented here. The four-legged robot dog "Spot" from Boston Dynamics attracted a lot of attention from both humans and animals. With its head-mounted multispectral camera module, it can optically detect the health status of plants. In combination with the robot's walking mechanism, measurements can also be carried out in complex forest situations, for example to provide information on the care requirements of young forest plants.
