ISGT Europe 2025

ISGT Europe 2025

From 20 to 23 October, a delegation from TU Ilmenau participated in IEEE ISGT 2025 in Malta together with more than 850 participants. We presented three papers and were able to refine our current research results by exchanging ideas with other participants. Johannes Kayser presented on "Planning concepts for DC interconnectors in medium voltage AC distribution grids" while Nadja Belz gave insights into a "Framework for assessing the added value of support systems for power system operation" and "Coordination framework for the provision of active and reactive power in curative system management":

  • C. T. Gatermann, N. I. Belz, S. Schlegel and D. Westermann, "Coordination Framework for Active and Reactive Power Provision in Curative Schemes," ISGT Europe 2025, Valetta, Malta, 2025, pp. 1-5.

  • N. I. Belz, S. Schlegel and D. Westermann, "Framework for Assessing the Added Value of Assistance Systems for Power System Operations," ISGT Europe 2025, Valetta, Malta, 2025, pp. 1-5.

  • J. Kayser, S. Schlegel and D. Westermann, "Scheduling Concepts for DC-Interconnectors in HVAC-Distribution Grids," ISGT Europe 2025, Valetta, Malta, 2025, pp. 1-5.

The highlights for us were the intensive technical sessions and many valuable discussions. It was especially nice to see familiar faces again and make new contacts. We are taking many ideas with us and are looking forward to the ISGT 2026 in Budapest!
