The eTeach Annual Conference on November 17 and 18 at TU Ilmenau will focus on digital teaching, learning and testing at Thuringia's universities, while at the same time continuing to foster social interaction during studies and on-site collaboration. Teachers, students, and experts from Thuringiaand from all over Germany will come together for two days to share their experiences aboutinnovations, challenges and opportunities of digital teaching. Teachers and students at Thuringia's colleges and universities have proven over the past two and a half years - driven by the Corona pandemic - that they act professionally and creatively in online scenarios at their universities. Digital and media technology, methodological-didactic and structural innovations have been developed and tested in practice, and many of the initially experimental approaches have now been integrated into regular everyday teaching. Thus, virtual learning spaces have been opened and media-supported digital teaching has been successfully implemented. At the same time, the experts of the eTeach network are aware that collaboration in a shared space, direct communication and social interaction not only connect and create identity, but are also conducive to elaboration, understanding and learning. Therefore, they strive for a university world that combines both: face-to-face teaching, learning and testing and digital, media-supported virtual teaching - in short: hybrid teaching-learning-testing formats.
At the eTeach Annual Conference 2022 - a trade show day and a conference day - experts will exchange ideas on teaching, learning and testing with media. Theteachers, students and university didacticians will present best-practice examples of video use in seminars and lectures, they will introduce digital tools that can be used to conduct exams online, they will discuss social interaction in virtual worlds, and they will exchange ideas on how visual and auditory learning content can be conveyed interactively and haptically so that students acquire knowledge in the truest sense by "grasping" it.
The eTeach Network Thuringia, an association of all ten Thuringian universities, is funded by the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Science and Digital Society.
