Exhibition at TU Ilmenau: “130 Years of PATENT Ideas in Ilmenau”

The PATON | Landespatentzentrum Thüringen at the TU Ilmenau is presenting the exhibition "130 years of PATENTE ideas in Ilmenau". To mark the 130th anniversary of PATON and its predecessor organizations, the show features posters on inventions from Thuringia, Thuringian trademarks, an original moped from GDR times and much more. The exhibition is open to the public from September 24, 5 p.m., until November 13, during the opening hours of the University Library. Vernissage: September 24, 5 pm.

What do a new surveying tool for sewer manholes, the traditional brands Born and Vita Cola and an innovative diminished reality technology have in common? A patent or trademark has been registered for all of these products from Thuringia. The question is answered in multimedia form in the exhibition at the TU Ilmenau "130 years of PATENT ideas in Ilmenau".

From posters and a photo show to a moped from the GDR era

The show features Posters on inventions from Thuringia or related to Thuringia, a photo show, a display case with Thuringian trademarks and their history, roll-ups on all types of property rights, information on the GDR design project, an original moped from GDR times and further information on the history of patent information. In addition to the exhibits, the exhibition also provides information about the types of property rights and the services of the PATON | State Patent Center Thuringia - motto: From the idea to the patent to innovation.

 

September 24: Vernissage with the winner of the Thuringian Innovation Award 2024

The winner of the Thuringian Innovation Award 2024 in the "DIGITAL & MEDIA" category, Mageeban Kuperan, will be presenting his invention at the exhibition opening on September 24. When he talks about his path to successfully founding a company, he also gives an insight into how PATON | Landespatentzentrum Thüringen supported him along the way.
