HIT@Home - Open Day at the TU Ilmenau in digital form

The Technische Universität Ilmenau makes a virtue of necessity - the restrictions of the pandemic - the HIT@Home study information day. Instead of the Open Day, when thousands of prospective students usually flock to the campus of the TU Ilmenau in spring, there will be HIT@Home on 24 April 2021 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: deep digital insights into the study programs of the TU Ilmenau, the university, the leisure activities of the university and the city.High school students, their parents and other prospective students can get information via WebEx meetings.

At www.tu-ilmenau.de/HIT prospective students can findthe extensive program of the HIT@Home study information day. In addition to lectures on all degree programs at the TU Ilmenau, there will be exciting videos, tours of laboratories and examples of experiments. Employees of the university and the Studierendenwerk Thüringen are available in chats for all questions about studying, application and enrolment, housing and student financing. You can register for individual counseling sessions via WebEx video conference on the HIT@Home website (www.tu-ilmenau.de/HIT) and two students offer a live tour of campus on Instagram (www.instagram.com/tu.ilmenau). To learn more about recreational opportunities and exciting student projects, staff members from student clubs will be on hand.

This year, special emphasis will be placed on the extensive innovations in the content, structure and study times of TU Ilmenau's degree programs that have just been adopted. For example, new content from teaching and research will be integrated and some degree programs will be changed to 6 to 4, i.e. the Bachelor's program will in future comprise six semesters instead of seven and the Master's program four semesters instead of three.
