In Denmark, it is common practice that the dissertation is not reviewed by the supervisor, but by two external reviewers. In addition, Ph.D. candidates must undergo an evaluation process that also includes a defense of their own work.
In the procedure for candidate Sidsel Bygum Hove at the Department of Business & Management at the University of Southern Denmark, Ronald Hartz from the Department of Management/Organization was appointed as an external reviewer and member of the evaluation committee. Together with Susanne Ekman (Roskilde University), he reviewed the thesis on "Management and Ideological Labour: A Psychoanalytic Study on The Managerial Organization of Desire", which was supervised by Elke Weik (SDU). At the end of November, the evaluation procedure took place on site in Denmark, which the candidate passed with flying colors.
We congratulate Sidsel Bygum Hove on her successful doctorate!
