The Ilmenau Science Night took place on June 20. A large number of interested people were out and about in all the university buildings and on campus.

Our institute had a presence at the Ernst Abbe Center. At various booths and during guided tours of our lab, we showcased our high-precision measurement technology with a glimpse into the nanoworld, exciting experiments in the field of temperature measurement, dynamic force measurements of cars on the Carrera track, minute deformation measurements on bicycle handlebars, and much more.

A special highlight was our kids’ stamp station, where young visitors could film themselves with the thermal camera and see a cool IPMS stamp appear on their skin.
