The Last Minute Info Day offers a wide range of information about studying at TU Ilmenau on Friday, 27 August, from 10 am to 3 pm on the university campus. Prospective students will receive information in the Humboldt Building, the largest event and lecture building of the university, from the Central Academic and Student Counselling Service, the subject counselling services - here there is also the possibility of individual counselling interviews - and from the Student Council, the representation of students' interests. At the stand of the Academic Service Center, questions about applications will be answered and those who have already applied will receive information about their current application status.

The Studierendenwerk Thüringen will provide information on topics such as housing, student financing and student life in lectures and personal conversations. Two Ilmenau housing cooperatives will also be providing information on the topic of housing. During guided tours for small groups, interested parties can get to know the campus and laboratories. Information about time and place of the guided tours:www.tu-ilmenau.de/lastminute.

The range of courses offered at TU Ilmenau is characterised by future topics such as autonomous mobility, bio-inspired electronics, networked communication or regenerative energy concepts. The high quality of education guarantees graduates of TU Ilmenau the best job prospects at home and abroad.

TU Ilmenau is a university with campus flair, intercultural diversity and a family environment. From day one, Ilmenau students are integrated into campus life. Student clubs with their diverse cultural and leisure activities ensure a lively campus and offer individual development opportunities. During their studies, student tutors are on hand to support first-year students, and lecturers and students are in lively contact - even in the current pandemic situation. Small group sizes enable on-site seminars and internships. For the winter semester 2021/22, it is planned to offer Bachelor's, Master's and diploma students as many face-to-face events as possible.

Other event highlights on the info day weekend include the stage stop of the Deutschland Tour, Germany's major men's cycling race, in Ilmenau, which is the finish and start of a stage: the finish on 27 August and the start of the stage on 28 August are on the city campus of the TU Ilmenau "Am alten Technikum". The FreiluftKulturFestival 2021 of the Ilm district will also stop in Ilmenau this weekend. From Thursday to Sunday afternoon, there will be a colorful program for young and old in the parking lot at the ice rink.
