"We are against it" - under this motto, the TU Ilmenau invites you to its traditional Women's Day cabaret on March 4 at 8 pm. The Magdeburger Zwickmühle presents its new political-satirical cabaret program, which it says: "Not even our parties are offering you that in the Bundestag election campaign!" Tickets can be ordered by e-mail(referat-gdg@tu-ilmenau.de) or by telephone (03677 69-2551) at a price of 18 euros. They can be picked up from February 9 to 19 from Monday to Thursday from 7:30 to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. at the TU Ilmenau, House M, Room 502b, Am Helmholtzring 1, Ilmenau. Only a few tickets are still available.
Are we really 5 minutes before 1933 or is it more like 5 before 1989? Or is it already five past twelve and mankind is playing 6 out of 49 with the globe because it wants to hit the jackpot on top of its winnings? Marion Bach, Heike Ronniger, Christoph Deckbar and Oliver Vogt, alias the Magdeburger Zwickmühle, ask this question.
"Are you still in favor? No? Aha, then you're against it. Not in favor either? Typical! But let's be honest, we can't really be against it, because democracy is obviously still the best thing the world has to offer at the moment. And yet we ask ourselves: why doesn't capitalism solve the problems that we wouldn't have without it...?
Don't worry, the Magdeburg quandary has no answers either, at least not easy ones. If you want to hear them, come to the Women's Day Cabaret at the TU Ilmenau! Because in this complicated world, the Magdeburger Zwickmühle has a plan: "Wir sind gegen dafür".
