Memorandum of Understanding signed with the German-Kyrgyz Technical Institute (DKTI)

A twelve-member delegation from Kyrgyzstan traveled to the TU Ilmenau from October 18, 2022 to October 20, 2022, at the invitation of the Dean of the Department EI, Prof. Hannes Töpfer, for a strategy workshop. The workshop was supported by the DAAD with funds from the German Foreign Office.

The delegation included high-ranking guests such as Prof. Mirlan Chynybaev, Rector of the Kyrgyz State Technical University (KSTU) in Bishkek and Prof. Anipa Usupkozhoeva, Director of the DKTI, as well as committed students who expressed their interest in studying for a Master's degree at the TU Ilmenau.

Concrete agreements in the Memorandum of Understanding include Erasmus+ student exchange, participation of German students in the international "Summer School" in Bishkek, and preparation of a German-language double master's program at TU Ilmenau.

A return visit to Bishkek is now planned for 2023 to prepare the cooperation agreement between the two universities.
