Jasmin Calmbach studied Renewable Energy Technologies at TU Ilmenau. In July 2022 she finished her studies by defending her master thesis entitled "Integrating porous Cu2O/CuO heterostructures to improve the photostability for solar water splitting". Since August 2022 she is working as a research associate and doctoral student at the Institute of Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics. Here she conducts scientific research within the frame of the project “Experimental investigation of coupled MHD and thermal radiation effects in Rayleigh-Bénard Convection” which is funded by DFG.
