PATINFO2023, the international colloquium on patent information and industrial property protection, will be held in Ilmenau from 14 to 16 June

PATINFO2023, the 45th International Colloquium of the TU Ilmenau on Patent Information and Industrial Property Protection, will take place in Ilmenau from June 14 to 16 - the topic: "Intellectual Property Information as a Raw Material for Tomorrow's Economy". At the invitation of the Thuringia State Patent Center at TU Ilmenau, international experts from industry, research and academia will come together for three days to exchange views on the protectability and market potential of inventions and intellectual property. The discussion forum will be complemented by workshops and an exhibition. Program and registration: www.paton.de/patinfo

Protecting intellectual property is an imperative to keep the globalized economy running. Areas that help protect intellectual property need to be strengthened: from research, invention and idea management, application and granting procedures, to enforcement and exploitation of IP rights. This raises the question:What is raw material for tomorrow's economy, what is rather ballast? New techniques and tools need to be developed,to identify and evaluate applications for intellectual property rights. But not all technical or creative ideas are sustainable. To discuss these questions, experts from research, industry, patent offices, law firms and the information industry will come together for three days in Ilmenau's Festhalle.

PATINFO sees itself as an ideal forum for the exchange of experience between public, private and commercial providers and users in the field of patents, trademarks and designs. In addition to the main lectures, software providers and information service providers will present their latest developments in a series of short lectures and in an exhibition. A free workshop program offers participants the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills. And the "Patent Management Thuringian Universities" team will present current technology offers from the scientific field, for which it is looking for exploitation partners from industry.
