PhD exchange with NTNU Trondheim

On 28 November 2025, the first virtual PhD exchange between TU Ilmenau and NTNU Trondheim took place. The departments of Prof. Dirk Westermann (TU Ilmenau) and Prof. Irina Oleinikova (NTNU Trondheim) met for a virtual exchange round with lectures and discussions.

Four interesting presentations, two from each university, on topics such as direct current, stability analysis and dynamic rating of transmission assets were followed by a discussion round among the scientific staff.
