Research to Enable Earth-like Audiovisual Environment in Space

Researchers from the Virtual Worlds and Digital Games Group and the Electronic Media Technology Group at the TU Ilmenau, the European Space Agency ESA and the European Astronaut Center EAC are working on a technology to simulate sounds and additional information during selected activities in space.

This should make it possible to obtain audiovisual feedback during maintenance work in space and thus facilitate repairs in the spacesuit.
