Successful presentation at the 2026 Hannover Messe

Scientists from our institute present sophisticated solutions from our research in nanopositioning and measurement technology and temperature measurement technology, at the Hannover Messe from April 20–24. For more than four decades, the Institute for Process Measurement and Sensor Technology of the Technical University of Ilmenau has been synonymous with precision measurement technology of the highest levels. Our nanometrology is based on highly stable laser interferometry and enables traceable length and displacement measurements in the sub-nanometer range and metrologically high-precision 3D positioning over macroscopic volumes up to the meter range. In temperature metrology, we conduct research into temperature measurements with the highest accuracy and reliability through metrological traceability. Whether nanometres or microkelvins, precision and accuracy inspire us.
