Schülerin experimentiertTU Ilmenau/ari

On July 9, the TU Ilmenau launches the Summer University for girls and young women. For one week, schoolgirls in grades 10 to 13 can get a taste of scientific and technical studies during their summer vacation. In this way, they experience that the MINT subjects of mathematics, computer science, natural science and technology not only promise exciting studies and offer excellent career opportunities, but are also fun. The registration fee is 100 euros, and the deadline for registration is June 30. Information and registration: www.thueko.de/sommeruniversitaet/

Student for a week - that's what schoolgirls in grades 10 to 13 can be during the TU Ilmenau's Summer University. During the one-week trial study from July 9 to 14, the participants will get to know one of the five faculties of the TU Ilmenau and their study programs on each day. In addition to the four science and technology faculties, the Department of Economic Sciences and Media will also present itself on one day. However, the program includes not only lectures, seminars, workshops and experiments in the laboratory, but also a varied leisure program. And from students, the schoolgirls receive first-hand information about studying, the university and student life in Ilmenau. The girls from all over Germany will be accommodated at their own expense in the town's youth hostel at the foot of the Thuringian Forest.
