As it does every first Tuesday of the month, the TU Ilmenau will be offering an admissions information session on April 7 in Erfurt, the capital of Thuringia. Prospective students from all over Germany can learn about the 47 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs at the centrally located TU Ilmenau branch office at the main train station. Here, they can also find out how to get off to an effective start in their studies. This way, they don’t have to make a special trip to Ilmenau and can get advice at a location that is easily accessible to many.

It couldn’t be more central or accessible: right across from Erfurt’s main train station, prospective students from Erfurt, Thuringia, and all over Germany can visit the TU Ilmenau offices in the Erfurter Hof on Willy-Brandt-Platz to learn about the 20 bachelor’s and 27 master’s programs in engineering, computer science, business, media and communication, as well as mathematics and natural sciences.

Every first Tuesday of the month, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., staff from the Student Advising Office will answer all questions about studying in Ilmenau. Prospective students will also learn how to effectively start their studies. From the very beginning, they gain insight into the diverse research and professional fields of engineers. To best shape their academic and professional careers, they participate in research teams working on exciting interdisciplinary projects right from the start.

In addition, each student receives intensive individual support and is offered a wide range of opportunities for personal development.

Prospective students can also spend an entire day on April 25 learning about studying at the Technical University during the Open House in Ilmenau. In addition to a wide range of orientation activities, the Open House will feature campus and lab tours, as well as insights—including from current students—into daily academic life and life in Ilmenau.
