Bauhaus-Universität Weimar

On June 17, 2026, the Bauhaus University Weimar hosted Engineering Day 2026. Participants from all seven universities in the “Thuringian Engineering Alliance” presented short presentations—such as pitches at the Science Slam or posters—and used the event to promote STEM degree programs in Thuringia. Engineering Day was attended by approximately 250 high school students, numerous researchers, and interested guests from the worlds of politics and society. Moritz Schreiber represented the Energy Utilization Optimization research group and contributed a poster titled “Accounting for Uncertainties in Energy-Efficient Operational Planning” to the poster session.
