What to study? On CampusThüringenTour - Eight Thuringian Universities in One Week

CampusThüringenTour - on a unique study orientation trip, schoolgirls looking for the right course of study can get to know eight Thuringian universities in just one week. The offer, which is unique in Germany, is aimed at female students in grades 10 and up who are interested in science and technology. The young women from all over Germany will not only visit one university from October 23 to 28, they will discover Thuringia's university landscape and find out about the various study options in the STEM subjects of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. In just one week, schoolgirls learn about the STEM courses offered by eight Thuringian universities

The CampusThüringenTour is taking place again this year with the motto: "Young women successfully study MINT in Thuringia" in attendance. During their fall break, the schoolgirls will visit five Thuringian universities and three universities: Erfurt University of Applied Sciences, Gera-Eisenach Cooperative State University, Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences, as well as TU Ilmenau, Friedrich Schiller University Jena and Bauhaus University Weimar. On site, the schoolgirls not only learn all about the STEM courses on offer, they also experience the special features of colleges and universities. In the process, misconceptions about STEM studies and even personal doubts are dispelled.

The diverse orientation program includes workshops, demonstrations, and lab visits in addition to personal academic advising and campus tours. The schoolgirls also meet with students to get first-hand information about everyday study life. In addition, they can expect a varied social program and a visit to a company.
