On 30 May 2024 we offer you an exciting excursion to the Omexom Training Center in Korbußen.
At the Omexom training center, overhead line builders are trained as realistically as possible. There are masts for assembling conductor ropes and insulators as well as numerous training courses on the correct use of personal protective equipment, which is vital for survival. Many grid operators in Germany send their staff to the training courses on offer and we were able to get one of the few free time slots for you.
As part of the excursion, you will have the exclusive opportunity to gain practical insights into overhead line construction. After an introduction to the training center, a practical workshop will cover the pressing of conductor ropes, the installation of insulator chains, the tensioning and clamping of conductor ropes and the correct use of personal fall protection equipment in overhead line construction.
The number of places is limited to 15. Registration takes place via the TU Ilmenau Projects Moodle. Registration including transfer of the deposit is possible until 17 April 2024.
