On 23 November 2023, the first of a total of four Matlab workshops of the IEEE Student Branch in the winter semester 2023/24 took place. After a short introduction to the Matlab campus license of the TU Ilmenau by Mathworks employee Andreas Weidlich, the participants started the practical phase of the workshop. Nadja Hiersemann and Carsten Gatermann explained the basics of using Matlab. The theoretical content included calculating with complex numbers, using matrices and vectors and writing simple Matlab functions. However, all theory is gray, so the participants were allowed to apply their acquired knowledge to small tasks in short practical phases.
The other workshops of the IEEE Student Branch will be held by Mathworks employees. The following topics are available:
