"IT and climate protection - What does the future of our digital world look like?"

From March 21 to 23, 2023, the largest conference in Thuringia for the further development of mathematics and science education will take place for the second time at the Ilmenau University of Technology. At the 29th Days of Mathematics and Science Education "iM INTernet - The School in a Digital World", participating educators who teach in the so-called MINT subjects (mathematics, computer science, natural science and technology) can expect numerous workshops, lectures and presentation booths with impulses for continuous and sustainable teaching development.

The event will be opened on March 21, 2023 at 2:15 p.m. by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Stefan Sinzinger, Vice President for Research and Young Scientists at Ilmenau University of Technology, as an online event and will start with an interdisciplinary plenary lecture by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Martin Ziegler, Head of Group Micro- and Nanoelectronic Systems, on the topic "IT and Climate Protection - What does the future of our digital world look like?" Afterwards and on the following afternoon of 22.03.2023 further online offers will follow. The 23.03.2023 includes all-day presence offers in the Helmholtzbau of the Ilmenau University of Technology.

The event of the MINT subject group of the Thuringian Institute for Teacher Training, Curriculum Development and Media (ThILLM) has been an integral part of teacher training in Thuringia for almost 30 years and is aimed at teachers, educators and special education specialists of all school types from enrollment to high school graduation.
