The Ilm district cordially invites you to the 7th Nature Conservation Day in Ilmenau. The event is aimed at all those involved or interested in nature conservation in the Ilm district - participation is free of charge.
This year's focus is on endangered animal and plant species and new ways of recording them using artificial intelligence and citizen science.
You can look forward to exciting presentations:
Dr. Marco Seeland will provide insights into modern species recording using AI and citizen science.
Dr. Thomas Meineke reports on the long-term monitoring of the red-winged grasshopper and snail in the Jonastal nature reserve.
Ralf Schmiede presents the federal project to protect the endangered gray scabious which only occurs at two locations in the Ilm district.
Steffen Lehmann and Sybille Huck present the new moor frog project with breeding station.
Martin Biedermann presents the results of research into the migration behavior of the lesser noctule.
Finally, Wolfgang Hock, biology teacher and nature photographer, will take the audience on an impressive multivision presentation on the natural treasures of Thuringia. This part of the program can also be attended independently of the specialist day.
