Definition and motivation

Functional addresses are e-mail addresses that can be used to contact functionaries. At the university, these include among others the Student Advisory Service, the Admission Office, the Student Office, the Examination Offices and the IT Service Desk.

As functional addresses are read and processed by several people in a functional area, they are used for the fastest possible communication.
