Ceremonial opening of the Oeconomicum and Department Day

The Department of Economics and Media Science at TU Ilmenau will celebrate its Department Day on June 21, 2023, which is traditionally dedicated to the academic exchange of all department members. On the occasion of the day, the modernized Oeconomicum on the campus of TU Ilmenau will also be ceremoniously reopened for the academic use of the department.

The reopening will take place on June 21 from 12:30 to 13:15. The following agenda is planned for it:

• Welcome by the Dean of the Department WM, Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer. pol. habil. Michael Grüning
• Greetings by the President of the State Office for Construction and Transport, Hans-Karl Rippel
• Greetings of the President of the TU Ilmenau, Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Kai-Uwe Sattler
• Greetings of the architect
• Ceremonial handover of keys
• Champagne reception

From 13:15 the Department Day starts with a keynote speech of the Thuringian Minister of Finance Heike Taubert and from 14:00 the academic program.
