On June 12, 2024, the Engineering SciencesDay will be hosted by Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences. At the all-day public event, Thuringia's engineering sciences will present themselves in their various facets both internally and externally. The focus will be on the state government's RIS strategy, i.e. the regional innovation strategy, and the impetus provided by the engineering sciences.
The day's program will be dedicated to this topic in detail in various presentations and will also provide ample space for young scientists: In addition to poster presentations in the foyer, which should encourage people to stop and exchange ideas, the best posters will be given the opportunity to present themselves to the auditorium in a short pitch.
The Engineering Science Day was initiated by the Thuringian Engineering Alliance and is organized by alternating universities. The Alliance THÜRING is a cooperation project of seven Thuringian universities that aims to draw public attention to the potential of engineering sciences. While the last Engineering Day took place in Nordhausen, this time it is the turn of Southern Thuringia.
Master's students and doctoral candidates with exciting research projects are invited. The posters can be about large project work and theses for Master's students or doctoral theses for doctoral students. Posters from Bachelor students who are currently employed in research projects but are not enrolled in the Master's program will also be accepted. A poster on general projects would also be possible.
Posters may be prepared in English. However, the language of the presentations is German. If you have any questions, please contact the organization team at thuerIng@hs-schmalkalden.de
