You will be automatically de-registered at the end of the semester after your graduation. If you need your de-registration certificate earlier, please submit a request.

Remember, your TU email address will be deactivated after you finish your studies. So, make sure to register with your personal email address, so we can still invite you to your 20th anniversary celebration!

Even after you graduate, the Student Services office may still need to send you important documents. Therefore, please make sure to enter an address in the Campus Portal where these can be sent. If you do not yet have a permanent address yourself, please provide the address of friends or family.

You can also use the  mail forwarding service offered by the postal service. Then all letters sent to your old address will be forwarded to the new one.

Are you moving within Germany? In that case, your current residence will be automatically deregistered when you register at your new address.

Are you moving abroad? Please deregister no earlier than one week before and no later than two weeks after your move. The city of Ilmenau offers students and university staff an exclusive online de-registration service. This saves you a trip to the office and waiting in line!
