The University Sports Centre
In addition to studying, physical exercise should not be neglected. For this purpose, there is a central contact point at the Ilmenau University of Technology - the University Sports Centre. From Asian martial arts to volleyball, everyone can keep fit here in their own way. In addition to the campus sports hall with climbing wall, there are also outdoor facilities, e.g. for beach volleyball, tennis and athletics. More than 80 sports can be trained individually or in clubs.
The SV TU Ilmenau e. V.
The sports club of the Technical University of Ilmenau offers a wide range of sports in 26 different sports groups all year round. With about 800 members it is the second largest sports club in the Ilmkreis.
ILRC - Ilmenau Cycling Club e.V.
The Ilmenau Cycling Club is a non-profit association for the promotion of cycling in Ilmenau and the surrounding area. In addition to training and joint rides, the club organizes an annual Downhill Cup in Ilmenau.

Kickelhahn Rangers
Ice hockey has a tradition of almost 100 years in the winter sports town of Ilmenau! Since 2006, the Kickelhahn Rangers have been offering sporting activities for amateur ice hockey players and students, as well as for young ice hockey players. In the meantime, in addition to the adult training groups, several junior training groups are also on the ice in point play. The performance-oriented competition team of the "Kickelhahn Rangers" competes in the "Thüringenliga" (Thuringia state league), would like to establish itself there and beyond, and plays its home games in the Ilmenau ice rink.
Diving club TU Ilmenau '56 e.V.
The Tauchsportgemeinschaft is a non-profit association and is a member of the Landestauchsportverband Thüringen (LTVT) and the Verband Deutscher Sporttaucher (VDST). The aim is to promote sport diving, especially for students of the Technical University of Ilmenau as well as for children and young people. Under the professional guidance of our training supervisors and diving instructors, everyone can receive a sound basic training in the basic levels according to the VDST-DTSA regulations within the framework of the training times and courses offered.
