The radio station radio hsf, founded in spring 1950 as a company radio station of the former Ingenieurschule Ilmenau, celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. This means that the university radio station has been broadcasting longer than ARD and ZDF. In the meantime, a non-profit association, "hsf Studentenradio e.V.", founded in 1991, has been established, in which more than 30 radio makers are involved while studying at the TU Ilmenau. Since the big birthday party cannot take place this year due to Corona, a special weekend will take place instead. From 13 to 17 July the anniversary is to be celebrated daily from 9 to 24 o'clock. The history of the station will also be recapitulated and presented in a specially conceived daily programme.
Guests such as the Mayor of Ilmenau, Dr. Daniel Schultheiß, the Director of the Thuringian Media Authority, Jochen Fasco, and several others are invited to a daily talk show.
You can receive the station in the city of Ilmenau on the FM frequency 98.1 MHz or worldwide via the livestream on the Internet. You can also access it on the hsf website. The big party for the anniversary is to be made up for next year. With the 30th anniversary of the association in 2021, there will be another reason to celebrate.
