Expanded and updated: 'Handbook of Journalism Theories' just published
After several years of work, Prof. Martin Löffelholz from the Technische Universität Ilmenau and Prof. Liane Rothenberger from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt have published a new edition of the seminal work on journalism research.
The updated and restructured new edition of the Handbook of Journalism Theories, supplemented by 19 original contributions, provides a systematic and detailed overview of theoretical approaches to journalism research. On more than 800 pages, ten thematic sections provide a quick introduction to the respective theoretical complexes and create a comprehensible orientation to the foundations, developments, concepts and problem areas of journalism theories.
In addition to Martin Löffelholz, Dr Christoph Kuhlmann, Johanna Radechovsky, Dr Aynur Sarısakaloğlu, Kathrin Schleicher, Dr Christina Schumann and Dr Andreas Schwarz from the Ilmenau Institute for Media and Communication Studies have contributed to the handbook. Johanna Radechovsky also coordinated the editorial process of the volume. For students and researchers of journalism, communication and media studies and related disciplines, the 56 articles in the handbook are a standard work for understanding the complex academic discourse on theoretical approaches to journalism research.
