Register now for the Engineering Day at TU Ilmenau!

On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, the universities of the Alliance of Engineering Sciences invite to an Engineering Day under the motto "Future - Innovation - Interdisciplinarity". The host is TU Ilmenau as part of this year's Dies academicus. Due to the Corona location, the event will take place in a hybrid format .

This year's Engineering Day will focus on young scientists. Initiatives such as the Tenure Track Professorship Programme or the Federal Report on Young Academics (BuWiN 2021) of the BMBF make two points clear above all: on the one hand, the group of young academics is becoming increasingly heterogeneous and, on the other, there is an urgent need to make academic careers more predictable and transparent.

The participating universities would like to address these and other topics relating to doctoral studies, habilitation and tenure track on the afternoon of 23 June as part of the Engineering Sciences Day at TU Ilmenau.

Doctoral students from all universities participating in the Alliance of Engineering Sciences are cordially invited to present themselves and their research project on this day in the form of a two-minute pitch and a poster (70×100 cm). A total of 24 doctoral students can participate. The best three contributions will be awarded a prize.

All those interested in science are also cordially invited to make a note of the 23rd of June.

We look forward to receiving applications by April 30 to graduate-center@tu-ilmenau.de. Registration for the two preparatory workshops is possible under the same e-mail address. The number of participants is limited to 24.

Here you can find the flyer for the event.
