University Library is showing abstract geometric artworks by the Suhl-based painter Jochen Walter until 23 June

The University Library of the TU Ilmenau is exhibiting abstract geometric artworks by the painter Jochen Walter from Suhl. With their verve, the colorful paintings transfer contagious joie de vivre to the viewer. After the great response to an exhibition by Jochen Walter at the TU Ilmenau last year, more of his works can now be viewed at the university library. The exhibition is open to the public until June 23, Mondays through Saturdays during the library's opening hours, and admission is free.

"Art of any kind is like a nectar for people's souls, I could experience that myself that way. Basically, I paint my pictures for the joy of people" - that's how Jochen Walter describes his work, and you can feel that when you look at the pictures. They captivate with the sweeping interplay of strong colors and varied shapes. "Magenta Storm" and "Explosion of Colors" are just two of his 22 paintings, which will be on display in the university library until June 23, and will make the viewer's eye linger and create joy.
