January 29 Mexican Night: TU Ilmenau invites you to a New Year's concert

The New Year's Concert 2025 at TU Ilmenau on Wednesday, January 29 at 7:30 p.m. is all about contemporary Mexican compositions. Under the musical direction of Mexican Pamela R. Mayorga, a choir made up of singers from the university's chamber choir, the Bach Choir and the Arnstadt choir Monte Giardino will perform in the Audimax alongside the TU Ilmenau Academic Orchestra. Admission is free.

The TU Ilmenau Academic Orchestra was founded in 1967 as the chamber orchestra of the TU Ilmenau, the forerunner of today's Technical University. The musicians are students and employees of the university as well as amateur musicians from the region.

The TU Ilmenau New Year's Concert is traditionally associated with the President, Prof. Kai-Uwe Sattler, looking back on the past year and looking ahead to the coming year.
