Technische Universität Ilmenau is once again offering last-minute advice to prospective students during the final week before the application deadline for the 2026/27 winter semester. From 7 to 11 September, anyone interested in studying at TU Ilmenau can contact the Central Student Advisory and Guidance Service online daily from 9.30 am to 2 pm – even without a prior appointment. Applications for Bachelor’s degree programs requiring German school leaving certificates can still be submitted until 15 September.
Anyone who has not yet decided on a degree program, has questions about the application process or is unsure whether their documents are complete will receive direct support during the ‘Application Countdown Week’. To this end, TU Ilmenau is bringing together its online advisory services to help prospective students take the final steps towards starting their studies.
In a brief one-to-one discussion, prospective students can clarify any questions they have about choosing a degree program and find out about the more than 40 Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs offered by TU Ilmenau. Questions regarding admission requirements, application deadlines and accommodation in Ilmenau can also be discussed directly with the advisers. Those who already know what they wish to study but still need support with the application process can receive assistance via the online application portal and have their application documents checked to ensure they are complete.
No prior appointment is necessary: prospective students can get in touch online throughout the week and discuss their questions directly with staff from the Central Student Advisory and Guidance Service. In this way, TU Ilmenau aims to offer guidance and support even at short notice before the application deadline.
For Bachelor’s degree programs, the application deadline for applications submitted with German school reports is 15 September 2026. This also applies to applications from the EU, the EEA and Turkey for Bachelor’s degree programs.
