Music in the Audimax at the TU Ilmenau on November 16

Under the motto "Beflügelt - Internationale junge Meisterpianisten im Konzert" (Winged - International Young Master Pianists in Concert), this year's two scholarship holders of the Elfrun Gabriel Foundation will give a varied piano recital on Wednesday, November 16, in the Audimax of the TU Ilmenau. In the series "Music in the Audimax", Lütfiye Dalgic and Heejoo Yoon will play works by Bach, Beethoven, Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Saint Saëns, among others. Tickets are available at the box office at 10 euros and for pupils and students at 5 euros. Ticket sales start at 6:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

The Elfrun Gabriel Foundation, established in 2012 in memory of the former internationally renowned pianist, promotes outstanding young pianists. Each year, a jury selects two musicians from among the best piano students at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy" and supports them with a one-year scholarship. The two young pianists are also supported in various ways at the beginning of their careers, for example with participation in international competitions and performance opportunities, traditionally also at the TU Ilmenau. This year, two music students from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig received the coveted scholarship: Heejoo Yoon and Lütfiye Dalgic.
