This was also the case with the Christmas soldering event organized by the UNIKAT student workshop and the IlmkubatorLab at FabLab@TU-Ilmenau, as well as other associations at TU Ilmenau such as VDI Young Engineers Ilmenau, the Ilmenau regional group of Engineers Without Borders, the VDE University Group Ilmenau, the IEEE Student Branch, and the student council of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. At their invitation, cool “makers” from the university met today in the machine hall to solder Christmas kits such as 2D and 3D Christmas trees, stars, and hearts in a cozy atmosphere with gingerbread, cookies, and punch.
