Invitation to tender

In order to promote young scientists, the TU Ilmenau will award re-entry and doctoral scholarships from April 1, 2026 in accordance with the "Statutes for the Awarding of Scholarships at the TU Ilmenau". As part of the call for applications for the first semester, applications can be submitted for the following funding formats

Re-entry scholarships (= for female scientists who have interrupted their scientific qualification project for family reasons and want to reconnect with current research after parental leave). The aim of the re-entry grant is to provide financial support for returning to academic work (in accordance with § 3, (5) of the statutes) after an interruption for family reasons, such as pregnancy, parental leave or caring for close relatives.

Doctoral completion grants (= for academics at the end of their doctorate) The aim of the completion grant is to provide financial support for the successful completion of the academic project (in accordance with § 3, (6) of the statutes).
