Within the scope of final theses, possibilities for the support of inter-company business processes by information systems are worked out in cooperation with various companies. Within the scope of this research project, the following topics, among others, are being worked on:

  • From Edifact to XML - New possibilities and risks in electronic data exchange using the example of a case study in the EDI environment of Henkel KGaA (in cooperation with Henkel KGaA)
  • Selection of Information Technologies for a Controlling Information System of an Automobile Manufacturer (in cooperation with BMW AG)
  • Information services on the Internet - classification, analysis and comparison of business models and presentation of a case study
  • Typical problem areas and possible solutions for the transformation of complex websites into dynamic, database-supported Internet applications based on a case study (in cooperation with Infineon AG)
  • Development and evaluation of a communication plan for the post-merger integration phase using the example of DaimlerChrysler (in cooperation with Lotus Germany)
  • Cross-company integration of business processes in cooperative enterprise networks - description of the degree of integration and conception of integration scenarios using the example of the Thuringian production network LiNAT
  • Analysis of the optimization potential through cross-company integration on eB2B marketplaces using the example of Lufthansa Technik (in cooperation with Lufthansa Technik)
  • Electronic Procurement in operational use: Introduction of the electronic procurement system ProNet from Lufthansa Airplus for handling the ordering processes of selected C-items at Lufthansa Technik AG (in cooperation with Lufthansa Technik)
