In research, the Group for Quantitative Methods in Economics deals with topics from the fields of statistics, data analysis and operations research as well as their applications in business administration. Teaching
The courses at the Group for Quantitative Methods in Economics cover the two central areas of quantitative methods in economics: Statistics and Operations Research. In addition to basic courses in statistics in the Bachelor's programme, the Master's programme offers corresponding specialisations in the form of compulsory/elective courses for the degree programmes "Media Economics", "Business Information Systems Engineering" and "Industrial Engineering and Management".
