From June 26 to 28, 2025, the 20th edition of the ASCOLA Conference was held at Loyola University Chicago, Illinois. The conference, which took place at the Corboy Law Center and was supported by the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies, also featured the field of “Law and Economics of Digitalization.”
Lukas Breide presented the working paper “Cartel to protect the Commons? Institutional and Competition Implications,” which he co-authored with W. Benedikt Schmal (formerly FG Economic Theory). Prof. Max Huffman (Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Indianapolis) served as discussant and made many helpful comments that will certainly advance the paper.
Special thanks go to the host professor, Spencer Weber Waller, who, together with his team, organized a wonderful and unforgettable conference in Chicago, which featured many interesting and inspiring presentations and discussions.
