The successful completion of a degree marks one of the most significant turning points in the lives of young people. Years of learning, personal development and perseverance come to a crowning conclusion - and this deserves a festive setting.
With the graduation ceremony, the university recognizes the achievements of its graduates and brings together families, friends and lecturers. The focus of each ceremony is the presentation of certificates, inspiring words and shared memories.
You can register for the graduation ceremony via our university's AlumniCampus portal.
In a festive ceremony, we bid farewell to 195 graduates and doctoral candidates who successfully completed their studies in the period from July 1 to September 30, 2025 (86 Bachelor's, 103 Master's, 6 Diploma) as they embark on a new chapter in their lives. The Presidential Board and the Deans presented the degree certificates in person, with special recognition being given to the ten best graduates.
In his speech, Prof. Stefan Sinzinger, Vice President for Research and Young Scientists, appealed to the young academics to look positively to the future under the guiding principles of "responsibility" and "confidence". The IHK Award 2025 was also awarded during the event. Winner Alexander Voelz received the award for his master's thesis on suppressing the moiré effect in display measurement technology.
Summer weather and happy faces: 200 recent graduates came together in the Humboldtbau to celebrate their graduation. Parents, relatives and friends had traveled from far and wide - some even from overseas - to witness this milestone. The young graduates proudly accepted their degree certificates.
Five of them received a special honor: they were awarded "with distinction" for their outstanding achievements. Dennis Hofmann was also beaming on this day - he received the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology's sponsorship award. The StuRa took the opportunity to honor honorary commitment. Maik Seemann, Master's graduate of Biotechnical Chemistry, who spoke on behalf of all graduates, provided emotional words.
