Prospective authors are invited to submit original and previously unpublished papers on the topics listed above. Abstracts clearly explaining the contribution, originality and relevance of the work are expected. The language for the publications is English.
Abstracts can be submitted as an
oral presentation or as
poster pitch contribution.
All Abstracts submitted to 60th ISC 2023 will be subjected to a peer review process, carried out by the members of the Scientific Committee.
Review criteria are
novelty and level of contribution
validity of conclusions
applicability of conclusions to further research or practice
formal qualities of the contribution
Papers and poster-pitch contributions presented at the conference will be published online afterwards under a URN and DOI - www.db-thueringen.de.

After the review process (21 April 2023), full papers (oral contributions and poster pitch contributions) can be submitted via CONVERIA until 30 June 2023. We need your paper as a pdf file (6-20 pages), which will be published for download on our website after the conference. Your contribution will receive a Uniform Resource Name (URN) and Digital Object Identifier (DOI) from the University Library. This URN and DOI will be automatically generated and assigned by the conference organisers and inserted into your document.
In addition, all accepted papers and poster-pitch contributions presented at the conference are available at www.db-thueringen.de.
With the submission of your full paper we require a short abstract (ASCII file) of 1500 characters (incl. spaces) for the programme booklet/abstract booklet. During the upload of your full paper you can enter the summary in the text box.

Information for authors with oral presentation
- A maximum of 20 minutes is allotted for each presentation in the sessions (including discussion)
- A maximum of 40 minutes is allotted for the presentations of the invited speakers (including discussion)
- Possible file format for publication: PDF document (only PDF/A-compatible, without document protection and with embedded formatting)
- Length of the paper: no page limit, (minimum 6 pages - maximum 20 pages)
- Maximum file size: 20 MB
- Language: English
- Page numbering: at the bottom right margin
Information for Poster Pitch Presenters
- A maximum of 5 minutes is allowed for each poster pitch presentation in the sessions. (without animated content). A discussion of the contribution is possible during the separate poster session is possible.
- File format for publication: PDF document, without document protection and with embedded formatting
- Length of paper: no page limit, (minimum 6 pages - maximum 20 pages)
- Maximum file size: 20 MB
- Language: English
- Page numbering: at the bottom right margin
- For your poster presentation during the on-site poster sessions, a space of 70 cm width and 100 cm width is available in the foyer of the conference building. conference building with a space of 70 cm width and 100 cm height.

1. Advance upload
As a service for the preparation of your presentation and the poster-pitch contributions in the sessions, we can offer you the presentation upload via CONVERIA in advance by 1 September, 2023.

2. Service on site
You also have the option of bringing your presentation (20-minute speaking time) and the content of your poster pitch (5-minute speaking time, without animated content) directly to the conference on a USB stick. Our technical coordinator will then receive your presentation on site in the lecture room and upload it to the session.
3. Poster session on site
For the presentation of posters during the poster session, designated poster spaces will be available on site for the poster pitch speakers. Please bring your poster printed in 70 x 100 cm format. During the poster session, it will be possible to arrange times at the poster to present and discuss.
All given contributions are submitted for publication at Scopus and Web of Science.
