How can I register for the conference?
Binding registration for the conference is generally only possible online via the CONVERIA conference management system and will be possible from (Early bird rate) from 28 April 2023

When is the registration deadline?
Deadline for Early Bird applications is 31 July 2023. Registration is possible online up to the beginning of the conference and on site.

Can I get a booking confirmation?
After the online registration via CONVERIA a booking confirmation will be sent to you by e-mail.

Can I receive a confirmation of participation?
You will receive the confirmation of participation at the Conference Office together with your conference documents.

Can I cancel my registration - when do cancellation fees apply?
Cancellation of your participation is possible at any time. Cancellation until July 31, 2023 will be charged with a fee of 250 Euro. Cancellation after August 1, 2023 will not be refunded (If the fee has not been paid at the time of cancellation after July 31, 2023, the organizer insists on payment of the invoice).

What are the payment options?
Bank transfer and online payment by credit card are available as payment options. Payment on site is possible as well, please see also Fee | Banking

Did you receive my conference fee?
After receipt of your conference fee on our account you will receive a confirmation e-mail.

May I participate in the conference as a non-author?
Interested visitors to the conference are very welcome.

Is it possible to register a group for the conference?
Group bookings are also possible.

Can I transfer my registration to a colleague?
If you are unable to attend the event yourself, you can transfer your registration to a colleague. Please send an e-mail for this purpose:

Where do I have to register for the on-site conference to receive my conference materials? What are these?

There the check-in to the conference takes place. You will receive your conference folder with the conference programme, the proceedings, the list of participants and your name badge as well as current updates on the conference.

What do I need to bring to the conference?
For check-in at the Conference Office, please bring your booking confirmation (Conference Ticket) printed out or on your smartphone. This document has already been sent to you by e-mail after your online registration.

Where can I get an invitation to apply for my visa?
Visa application International participants who require a visa to enter Germany should contact their nearest embassy or consulate. The visa application procedure should be initiated in good time before the expected date of departure. If you need a visa to enter Germany, please contact us to receive a letter of invitation with confirmation of registration for the conference, which you can present at your local German embassy or consulate. Please provide the details of your registration and the paper you will present at the conference. Please provide us the following information:

  • Full name and affiliation

  • Title of work and authors (if applicable)

  • Registration Confirmation

  • Number (Paper ID No.)

  • Postal address

  • Passport number/country issued

A letter of invitation for visa purposes does NOT include any obligation on the part of the conference organizers to pay any fees, accommo-dation, travel or other costs associated with attending the conference. Invitation letters can be issued ONLY after registration and payment of the registration fee for the 60th Ilmenau Scientific Colloquium (60th ISC).
