If you are arriving by car, we recommend that you travel via the A71 freeway.
If you are coming from the south on the A71, it is best to take exit 16 "Ilmenau-West" and follow the "Erfurter Straße". At the 3rd traffic light turn right into "Friesenstraße". Follow this street straight ahead. In the meantime the street becomes "Friedrich-Ebert-Straße", "Karl-Liebknecht-Straße" and finally "Schleusinger Allee". After the traffic circle at the Hotel Tanne / Sprint gas station turn left and you will reach the Festhalle Ilmenau.
If you are coming from the north on the A71, it is best to take exit 15 "Ilmenau-Ost" and follow "Bücheloher Straße" in the direction of Ilmenau / Uni. At the 2nd traffic light turn left in the direction of Langewiesen and follow the road to the 2nd traffic circle. Take the first exit in the direction of Ilmenau. Follow the road "Grenzhammer" (later "Langewiesener Straße") until you reach the "Kaufland junction" immediately after the railroad crossing. At this crossing turn left into "Karl-Liebknecht-Straße". Follow the road (later "Schleusinger Allee") and turn left after the traffic circle at the Hotel Tanne / Sprint gas station to reach the Festhalle Ilmenau.
You can park in the reserved parking lot directly opposite the Festhalle Ilmenau.
