NOMOS VerlagsgesellschaftTogether with former members of the group, Prof. Liane Rothenberger and Kathrin Schleicher, Johanna Radechovsky published a chapter in the newly released handbook “Journalismusforschung”. In their article, the authors examine central theories on war and crisis reporting, discuss the role of the media and political actors and analyze mechanisms of news selection. They also take a look at current challenges and future fields of research – from method triangulation to AI in reporting.
The handbook “Journalismusforschung”, edited by Prof. Thomas Hanitzsch from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Prof. Wiebke Loosen from Leibniz Institute for Media Research and Prof. Annika Sehl from Weizenbaum Institute, offers a comprehensive overview of actors, organizations and processes in journalism and deals with the thematic, theoretical and methodological diversity of the research field. The chapters provide an inventory, a critical classification and impulses for future research.
