From Wednesday, November 30, a so-called Multifactor authentication (MFA) will be activated. This means that in addition to the university login, another security feature is required to log in. This can be a smartphone app, a TAN list or an authenticator device, for example. Many will already be familiar with an MFA from online banking.

To use the MFA, a one-time login to the MFA portal and a initial setup must be performed. Further information and detailed instructions can be found on the intranet. After the initial setup, the MFA can then be used to log in to the OS portal. In addition to the OS portal, it will soon also become mandatory for the exam Moodle. One advantage: After the changeover, the OS portal can also be accessed from outside the university network.
