TU Ilmenau / Stefan GriebelSince the winter semester 2024/25, the Group of Mechanics of Flexible Systems (MSys) has made the new "Digital Teaching" room (WB2270) available to lecturers at TU Ilmenau.
The highlight of the room is a 68-inch lightboard - an illuminated glass panel that allows central content to be visualized directly in front of the camera during recording. The format is particularly suitable for short, explanation-intensive contributions in STEM subjects. It conveys content clearly, creates proximity to the presenter and increases the viewer's emotional connection through the direct eye contact.
It is operated intuitively via a stream deck, with which texts, images and videos can be flexibly displayed and combined. This allows educational videos to be recordedcompletely independently and without the need for additional staff. Interactions between the teacher and the media are possible without any problems - for example when deriving formulas or using visual elements.
This innovative technology promotes didactically diverse, lively knowledge transfer. Skills such as spatial imagination, the ability to analyze and evaluate as well as problem-solving skills can be specifically supported and further developed.
The Group of Mechanics of Compliant Systems cordially invites you toto get to know and try outthis modern way of creating teaching or presentation videos.
Special thanks go to the Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre for the financial support within the framework of the examING project - Digitalization of competence-oriented testing for engineering bachelor's degree courses.
