Silver medal for BMTI

Silver medal for BMTI invention at the international trade fair "Ideas - Inventions - Innovations" iENA 2021 in Nuremberg

Upper train: high frequency complex current injected (smoothed plot because of high frequency). Middle train: real and imaginary parts of the voltage drop over an electrode. Lower train: real and imaginary part of the voltage drop over a neuron.

At the international trade fair "Ideas - Inventions - Innovations" iENA 2021 in Nuremberg from 04 to 07 November", the invention "Arrangement and a method for electrical current stimulation " was awarded a silver medal by the international jury of experts.

The invention was developed for use in the electrotherapy of neurological problems. Current technology is largely based on the direct application of direct current (DC) for neurological stimulation. This can lead to unwanted voltage drops at the points of contact between the stimulator and the brain, resulting in toxic substances. The new method makes it possible to generate a signal form of the injected current that, on the one hand, avoids the formation of unwanted decomposition voltages at contact points and, on the other hand, generates the desired DC current or voltage at the neurons in the brain.
