Confirmations

• A confirmation is a written document - usually pertaining to a specific individual - that serves as proof of a particular fact or event.

• Asseptance as doctoral candidate
  
  Applying to the Department responsible for the subject area of the dissertation by submitting a doctoral request (Promotionsgesuch) ideally leads to documented acceptance as a doctoral candidate.

• Supervisor declaration
  
  According to the university doctoral regulations, the supervisor declaration is a declaration of willingness or a supervision agreement. Both documents are the result of an agreement with a professor or research assistant at the University regarding the supervision of the dissertation.
  
  If acceptance as a doctoral candidate cannot be proven at the time of application for enrolment, enrolment (registration upon first-time enrolment) will take place after submission of the supervisor declaration for a limited period of time, at the latest until the end of the re-registration period for the fourth semester.

• Booking confirmation language course 
  
  As proof of the binding registration for the language course, TU Ilmenau Service GmbH will provide you with a booking confirmation.

• Data control sheet
  
  The data control sheet provides an overview of all your data collected and stored by the university for the purpose of student administration.
  
  Students can generate and download the document at any time on a daily basis.
  
  Please log in to the Campus Portal with your Uni-Account in the role of student. After clicking on the Student Services tile, you will be offered the data control sheet for download under Reports.

• De-registration certificate
  
  Once you have completed your de-registration, the Student Office will provide you with a de-registration certificate.
  
  The personalized de-registration certificate provides an overview of your entire course of study from the perspective of the student administration.
  
  It lists the degree programs you have taken during your stay at the university, including their academic degrees and standard periods of study, the university semesters and the subject-related semesters for each degree program, as well as any semesters leave of absence taken.
  
  Please log in to the Campus Portal with your Uni-Account in the role of student. After clicking on the Student Services tile, you will be offered the de-registration certificate for download under Reports.

• Fee confirmation
  
  The fee confirmation is a document provided by the Student Office for every student enroled at the university.
  
  It contains a semester-related list of fees and contributions paid.
  
  Please log in to the Campus Portal with your Uni-Account in the role of student. After clicking on the Student Services tile, you will be offered the fee certificate for download under Reports.

• Registration certificate
  
  The registration certificate is a semester-related document provided by the Student Office for each student registered at the university.
  
  It contains information on the degree program, the type (e.g. on-campus studies) and form (e.g. full-time studies) of studies, the university semesters, the subject semesters and the status of the student (e.g. leave of absence).
  
  Please log in to the Campus Portal with your Uni-Account in the role of student. After clicking on the Student Services tile, you will be offered the registration certificate for download under Reports.

• Proof of language placement test
  
  The TU Ilmenau Service GmbH offers a language placement test immediately before the start of each semester. The purpose of determining your current language proficiency is to enable the best possible assignment to learning groups.
  
  Upon completion, you will receive a certificate confirming your participation in the language placement test.

• Study Agreement
  
  The Study Agreement for the Academic Preparation Course serves as the legal basis for participation in the Academic Preparation Course and for enrolment as a collegiate at TU Ilmenau.

• Course of studies certificate
  
  The personalized course of studies certificate provides an overview of your entire course of study from the perspective of the student administration.
  
  It lists the degree programs you have taken during your stay at the university, including their academic degrees and standard piriods of study, the university semesters and the subject-related semesters for each degree program, as well as any semesters leave of absence taken.
  
  Please log in to the Campus Portal with your Uni-Account in the role of student. After clicking on the Student Services tile, you will be offered the course of studies certificate for download under Reports.

• Clearance certificate
  
  In the event of a student dropping out without completing his chosen degree program, the Exam Office will issue a clearance certificate for the student dropping out.
  
  This Exam entitlement certificate shows whether the exam entitlement in the relevant degree program still exists or has been lost, e.g. due to the final failure of an examination.
